The lamp's body is massive, the threads are good and has an o-ring sealing for water protection. I bought a battery for it and tested. Illuminates very good. Only drawback is that the glass heats up really quikcly and gets really hot, burns when you touch it. I'm afraid to use it countinously for longer period, but not tested it yet. And it's nothing but switching on and off with one hand is inconvenient. But really good product for your money, I am satisfied with it.
