RCcraze No bec, not for 5th scale cars. There are car ESCs by the same manufacturer, up to 16s. Ive bought and used them. Different sales sites. Email me and I let u know where i got them. Couple hundred cost. Your motor should be a 56XX and have a kv below

Great little motor, plenty of power, and suits 1/18 + 1/16 and 1/14 scale cars perfectly. Price and quality matches as well.

Ok but plastic every bit of the drivetrain. Diff, front shafts spur and bevel gears, output cups/shafts every thing, beside the 2 rear dogbone shafts, is made in plastic, and that's in the brushless version. Disappointing when, going for the top version of the model. Buy the 901, 902 or the 903 from the other brand, comes with all the upgrades included on the brushless version. Xiengelon I think the brand name is.

Not what I expected, you need to buy all of the metal upgrade parts, front and rear diff, spur gear to be able for using the part on the car. Can't upgrade 1 thing at a time, but all at once to make it work

Q: is this oil filled or friction shocks

MAKAWELI Since I know how frustrating it is, when seller's don't provide enough product information, I think it's up for the buyers, to help out each other. I highly recommend these shocks being one of the cheap but the best quality out there for the price. These only need to be filled, with own prefered silicone oil. They are really nice.

Q: Are all the gears metal? Sellers pictures show metal gears, but the customer pictures show plastic gears. What type of gears are they really?

The material seems to be ok, but HBX should really up their spare parts, like other brands by providing you with a complete set of diff upgrades, including a hole set, meaning all the 4 smaller gears, should have been included in this particular upgrade. Wish I bought 2 of the 902 from xiengelon brand, in which this upgrade already comes installed on the brushless version. I also bought the HBX as brushless, however you have to upgrade every gear and drivetrain, axles etc,. All these upgrades comes pre-installed on the brushless version of the xiengelon 901,902 and 903 PLUS it comes with a much better and powerful electronic motor 2845, esc 35A. Hbx is behind with their models in every aspect. Buy the xiengelon brushless version, and you got the racing version of the the both.

This review is only related for the quality of the brand production. 1. The gears are not turning freely, the mesh between crown and spider gears, are jammed 1/2 turn. 2. Crown gear is in contact with the buttum plastic housing, of the differential gears. 3. The metal part is made of weak aluminum. 4. The size of the the differential gearbox, is more suitable for a 1/18 scale car.
