si618 My experience was the opposite, whilst LED flashes and speaker beeps appeared to work, it would continuously dump full current as soon as electrodes touched. It was very exciting :D but you definitely want to test first without being near a battery, and wear safety glasses! Had much better luck with the newer spot welder now available, which is currently same price and has red cover, much larger cap and a screen to control power output level at a finer level. That is working well for me.
