This is a great truck and well built. I owned several rc trucks made by HG and never had any issues with them. For the price you get alot for your money,these are really detailed and I think even more detailed then the rc4wd trucks which I have a few of. If you're looking for a competition crawler,this is not for you. If you want a great scale/trail rig then I would suggest this rig. But I will admit,for the weight of this rig as it is a heavy weight,this crawls really well. The only 2 issues I have is replacement parts are kind of hard to find. The other issue is if you're looking for aftermarket support,then this will not be for you. If you do plan on buying this,the 1 upgrade I would definitely suggest is a better steering servo. While the factory 1 get the job done,a stronger 1 will work better. I suggest an all metal gear 25kg or higher designed for crawlers,mainly due to the weight of this rig. Incase anyone is wondering,this can handle a brushless motor as my other hg p415 has 1 installed but be careful and get a crawler brushless motor as this truck is not designed for high speeds. I'm running a Hobbywing Quicrun 2 n 1 motor/esc combo in the 1200 kv version and had zero issues so far and works fantastic.

I bought these shocks as an alternative shock for my redcat 64' lowrider to try to lower it a little more. While these shocks look better on that car (well over stock) and will fit with minor cutting of the ball end spacer. my only complaint is that the springs are extremely soft even when threaded all the way down. While these may be perfect for a smaller sized rig like a 1/18 scale but anything bigger such a 1/10 sized rig like my redcat,your gonna run into suspension issues. Overall I have no regrets buying these shocks as they're cheap and were worth a shot.

Fantastic rig for the price. The factory parts like electronics,tires and shocks are pretty decent. I decided to upgrade the electronics with something better. I chose the Hobbywing Quicrun 80A crawler esc as it's really affordable and I love the programming capability. I also upgraded to 1.9 aluminum wheels and using rc4wd baja claw tires. I made myself custom links so I can move the front wheels a little more forward so I can have a slightly longer wheelbase. I ditched the plastic driveshaft for some metal ones (115-140mm) I found on ebay. I also changed the motor to a 45T from rc4wd I had laying around as well as an rc4wd torque twister servo. I plan on upgrading the shocks soon. I would definitely recommend this truck to anyone looking for a good rig. The only thing that I found was not all 12" figures fit. I had 1 that was fully posable but didn't fit. I heard 10-10.5 figures work best

This is a great rig. I've owned several HG products in the past and they were all great trucks. Do they have there flaws,yes but so does every brands including the big brands 'rtr version' (occasionally kits) rcs. While this is an 8x8 wheel drive with 4 wheel front steering,this is not a crawler and should not be used like a crawler. I seen people use a few HG trucks the way they were not intended to be built for such as crawling,bashing,etc. and then break these (it's mainly the axle and transmission gears) and other HG trucks, then complain about it and say HG products are junk. HG are infact good trucks BUT you have to treat and drive them as they should be driven. If you do this and not put heavy strain on the gears by driving the P801,P802 and P803A like a rock crawler then you will be fine. This is a heavy truck so the gears will have alot more strain put on them if not driven correctly. The HG P803A is more like a trail truck. If you drive it sensibly then it will last you. 1 of the things I like with this P803A and a few other HG trucks,they come in a nice foam carrying case. Though I found that the P803A version has a much tighter fit then usual and you will have to unscrew and remove the mud flaps every time to get the truck back in the case so I will most likely not use the case. Not saying all cases are like this,but the 1 I received was a little snug to my liking. 1 thing I recommend is to drive this to your trail spot as this is not a light weight rig. I have a 1/6 capo sixer that is lighter then this. The HG P803A is about roughly 27-28 lbs (12.5-13 kgs),but that's due to the fact that a large percentage of this rig is metal. The only thing I plan to change is the radio as I'm not a fan of stick radios. I recommend the standard version over the upgraded version as I'm not a fan of the red,white and blue colored police lights on a military rig. If you like military rigs then I definitely recommend this for you.

Awesome little car. Very detailed and functions extremely good for it's size and especially with the small 180 sized motor. I love how it comes in a styrofoam case for traveling. So this will definitely be my rc truck for when I go on vacation. My only 2 complaints are the hood,doors and tailgate are not that easy to open and the axles don't use standard hex hubs to put on custom wheels. I'm sure I'll find something to work but that was a bummer to not see done. Other then those minor things,I have zero regrets buying it.

These are fantastic rigs for the money. This is my second one as I have the orange wagon version and had 2 get the white truck to match. I had zero issues with the factory electronics. The only upgrades I plan on doing (which was the same I did on my orange one) is filling the shocks up with oil and changing the wheels and tires. Just those 3 little things make a big difference. The only thing I would like to see Double Eagle do would be a single speed transmission,full ball bearings and a separate esc and receiver. Then I think this will be a fantastic rig from the factory. Other then that,I don't think I would change a thing. I don't recommend running a brushless motor as I don't think the stock gears could handle it. I highly recommend this rig to anyone who is looking for a reasonably priced crawler (more like a trail rig) that loves scale realism like interiors etc. 😎👍

Very awesome truck. Works fantastic. The only thing I changed was the wheels and tires and a higher torque steering servo. Now it's much better then before. Looking forward to getting another 1 in the future.

Very cool little truck. I really like the uniqueness of it being we don't have these (or at least I never seen them) in the states. Looking forward to putting my own spin on this truck to make it my own.
