hand held remote has a broken wire that protrudes into the battery area. Wire is not connected preventing any steering. There is forward and reverse. No left or right

Order spare parts right away, you will be strut bushings, spare ptfe washers for the prop shaft and spare flex cables. Its a good cheap boat but the 4x6x4mm strut bushing wear very quickly
