Glenn I did tests on mine as well- using a 50ohm dummy load, I got about 25 watts on VHF and 20 watts on UHF, so I think your figures are about right. I think their figures are based on input power, not output power!

Glenn It is the same antennae connector as the UV-5R, I have both, the 771 antennae works well with it.

Glenn It is digital signal processing, not a DMR Fusion, etc. as we would call a digital radio in Canada.

Glenn Measured on a calibrated UHF.VHF power meter with a 50 ohm dummy load- the actual output power is about 5 watts on 144, a bit higher on 440, a little less with the antennae attached.
