Just a normal LC thermometer. Does what it says.— you glue it onto the surface, it shows the temperature. Contrast is about as what is shown on the picture.
Pros: completely passive, no batteries needed.
Cons: none.
Other: make sure the surface is evenly heated (or cooled), otherwise readings won't be accurate.
