Chip STC8G1K17 has revised setup instructions. The final setup is now done after time and date settings by pressing and holding the UP button, you can then access the settings for 12/24, alarm etc. the DC settings have also changed. DC-1 is random colors, DC-2 to change the color of time, temperature etc, DC-3 allows individual setting of the digits for color. sdrambo Yes you can adjust this. In settings go to the dE section there you adjust the clock to lose or gain up to 9 seconds a day

sdrambo It will run on a 5v battery but it draws such a low current, 40ma, that some battery packs shut off because they assume nothing is connected
