Bruce_the_shark no you don't, just set the vtx to pit mode for a few minutes and it also takes a while to charge and store the data in the gps module. give it time, once it gets a fix with a decent amount of satellites it will start up a lot faster... used to have the same issue with my chimera 7 1800kv I ended up throwing the succex vtx in the garbage and put a rush tank solo on there, no issues since with gps or signal quality.
