thanar Youmean not-protected cells. All 18650 are rechargeable, it's just than button-tops are also protected and looks like this light need protected cells to make contact.

thanar Actually, you CAN set it so as to start up automatically each day. It's in the users manual somewhere, although a bit difficult to locate.
