Q: will a 2200mah 50c 2s lipo battery fry the esc? or even a 5200mah 50c 2s lipo battery?

JOLIEK_ Negative, those batteries are perfectly fine. I run a 2200mah 100c 2s. The mah doesn't mean anything other than the size of the battery. Please remember to run a lipo alarm with lipo batteries as the esc cut-off is not designed for lipos and is fair too low, potentially destroying your battery or causing a fire.
