Q: 30 watt x 5 hour runtime = 150 Watt hours! 2 x good 18650 batteries = approximately 20 Watt hours. One of the numbers is wrong. It's probably more like 3W.

Q: can this alarm be powered by 12Volt power supply? it takes a sim card also?

inforam No, only works with 5V. You may use an external DC-DC converter to lower the 12V to 5V
