dgoadby Yes it can as the RPi has an I2C interface. But, you will need to use 3.3->5V translators in the SCL, SDA lines.

dgoadby The protocol is simple 9600 Baud serial: "wvXXYY\n" sets the attenuator to XX.YYdB. "r\n" returns the model number. Search Github using ATT6000 or emptemp for python code.
