It's LEDs are bright and illumination is pretty good. I should point out the high quality transparent layer which covers & protects the 204 LEDs. It has two threaded holes (top and bottom) for mounting the LED on most cameras, tripods, etc. The two filters have powerful magnets. Appart from brightness, the LCD screen shows batteries level (from 01 to 99) when power button is slightly pressed. The device can be powered by AA batteries, Sony NP-F battery or wall adapter. It's a little bit difficult to insert the first AA battery on the left side due to the compartment door. The chassis has many vents on it's two sides. This cooling system is efficient and I haven't noticed any high temperature issues. I also like it's packaging which is like those PC motherboard retail boxes.
