The device is nice and well build. I has bought it to light up a dark corner at the back of our house. As the device arrived I find out that it does not switch on and off as I expected, but switches on and then into a dimmed mode with reduced light. This dimmed mode lasts until the environmental light rises and switches the device off. This seems not to be senseful as the device is loaded by sunlight and so energy is precious.There is no way to switch this damned dim-mode off. So I can't use it for what I want to use it. Waht a shame.

roguestreak I haven't got one, but the following indicates you can change mode via a push-button? "Mode of operation in the presence of movement: - if you press 1 time On/off: the lamp it turns on at the maximum brightness for X time and then turns off. - if you press On/Off twice: the lamp it turns on at the maximum brightness for X time and then stays on at low brightness. - if you press 3 times On/off: the lamp stays on at low light."
