Great tool to have in my transmitter box. I have an actual DSMX module that I use for my nicer planes. That said this is really nice for flying some of the odd ball RC items I have like quads or smaller planes that came with flysky or other protocols. I am using this with a Taranis QX7 and I did have to update to the latest firmware to get all the features of this module. Pretty easy to update and then everything can be controlled from the radio which is awesome. I would say its a must for the RC hobby, especially if you like to use open source software radios like the Taranis.
