My first review of this item was somewhat less kind. It seems to have been "censored". Not a good look. Just saying............ I have since used this item a bit and reconsidered. FOR THE PRICE, it is excellent value. Don't expect Canon L-series quality, but it is effective and gives quite usable images. Some chromatic aberration is evident at the long end, but barrel distortion seems to be minimal. The zoom range is simply fantastic. After using image-stabilised lens for a while it is a bit of a jolt to have to manage camera shake again, but a tripod and remote shutter release fixed that. There is no need to use mirror lockup. Overall I would heartily recommend this lens as a cheap and (for the price) highly effective tele zoom. I am well satisfied that I got good value for the money paid. I have attempted to attach a photo of an Echidna for you to see the results but the site won't take it.
