I was finally able to assemble the unit, I powered it with 120V and the power unit would put out 38 amps, but only for 20 seconds or so and the yellow light on the power supply would flash. It was only able to heat the crucible to 400F. I am going to try 220V and see what that does, I was sent a European plug for 220V, in the U.S. the 220V plugs are much larger so I have to purchase a plug and wire it up. The unit is supposed to operate 100V - 220V, but It is obviously not capable at 120V, it may just be weak. Other than that everything else seems to be working just fine.
craigwconnorsUsing 220V the unit operates perfectly and was able to melt the materials placed in the crucible. I may be purchasing another if it performs to my needs.
