The description says 60LM. I would say it is more like 1200LM. It is super bright and can be seen at more than 1/2 mile distance. Although you can't tell it is a bicycle rider at that distance, it makes you wonder and then slow down to figure out what kind of light that actually is. And thus the real purpose of the light, to slow the cars down. I'm in my garage in the morning to ride to work and when I turn it on, it lights up the garage. The only bad thing about the light is there is no warning when the battery goes dead. If you are only relying on this tail light, I would make sure you charge it every day. I've ridden at least 5 mornings in a row without charging and this mornings ride to work(probably the 7th morning in a row), the rechargeable light went dead. I do have alternate tail lights so I did continue on. I wouldn't suggest riding in the dark of night without a tail light. So... Make sure to keep it charged.

But it does have its problems. I purchased one of these lights Aug 17, 2017. The last few days of July 2018 I was riding home from work when a pop up thunderstorm appeared out of nowhere. I was in the pouring down rain for about 5 to 7 minutes looking for a place to shelter out of the rain. I found a gas station to wait out the rain. After the rain, a little less than an hour, I continued on my way home. When I got home I noticed that the tail light was out. I thought it might have run out of charge. So I charged it over night. The next morning on my ride to work, completely dark outside, I noticed that it wasn't coming on automatically. At the next stop light I turned it on. By the following stop light it had turned off. I turned it on again. And in two minutes it had turned off. The motion sensor that triggers the light to come on and stay on had gone bad, so it will only stay on for about two minutes and shut off. This was only the second time that the light had become wet. It lasted about a year. The good news is that it is worth buying another like I have just done. But expect for the light to die on you if it gets wet. I usually don't ride on days that I know it is going to rain. So, hopefully this light will last another year of riding.

Very good luminosity allowing to be clearly visible in urban traffic even in broad daylight. The only disadvantage is that the lamp only lights up in the darkness. Solution: Hide the sensor (e.g. with a small self-adhesive patch).
