Good construction and solid product. My existing Racor 500FG filters fit fine. You will have to change your inlet and outlet connections as the threads on the genuine Racor 500 and this product are different. For me it was only a case of removing four hose clamps and putting the hoses on this unit. I also found that the unit can be rotated 180 degrees in the mount, just like the original Racor. I'm a very satisfied customer (but I still can't figure out the purpose of the red plastic ring in the bowl!).
