Q: Does the module work also when VCC and trigger signal appear at the same moment? Actually I mean to hot-wire VCC and trigger pin and use just one 5V DC source which should be switched to the output pin after the given delay time. Or is there a "start-up" time required after power-on before the trigger signal can be detected?

Butung No, there is no start up time. But if you hot wire VCC and the trigger pin, the output won't turn off after the set delay time.

NoNickname Doesthis mean, that the trigger signal should appear only for a short amount of time? What happens, if the trigger signal is continously there? In fact, my plan is to hot-wire VCC and trigger pin but I don't know whether the module is then working as expected. Thanks for your help.

Was looking at seeing if I could use this as a watchdog timer for some of my Arduino projects. However it does not allow maintaining the output if you continue triggering the input. Will have to find some other use for it. But as a variable delay timer it functions great.
