if there is no other light sources around, the UV level is fairly good (for a battery operated device). I only had it outside for about 3-4 hrs and the grid was filled! Will operate while plugged in.

Smaller than it looks in the picture (that's what she said!) - but they are VERY bright! Has what appears to be an 18650 cell in it, so the run time should be good. And if the cell ever dies, only 6 screws gives you access to the inside where it just pops out like any other battery (not soldered in or anything). So bonus points for being repairable! DO shake yours when you take it out of the box though! One of the 3 I got had a chunk of wire about 40mm long floating around inside the housing that no doubt would have caused a nasty short. Looked like a snipping of a component leg.

Q: What is the maximum voltage at which this lamp works? I want to attach five lamps to a 12 volt battery with a regulator for example up to 5-6 volts.

DrFiero It's powered by an 18650 (which is 3.7V) so if you used a 5V reg and added a small resistor?

You certainly won’t go blind from its light output, but it does seem to do a good job lighting up an area in my brief test. The remote is a nice touch.

Very sleek modern design, and the projector clock has to be the brightest I've seen! Added bonus, the projector time follows the clocks time, so no more having to set things twice like my old one. Impressed.

Seems to respond very quickly. Accuracy? Who knows with no 2nd data point to compare to. Simply exhaling near it causes the TVOC count to go up which makes sense. SOMEONE should have done an english spell check before having the face printed though! Oh well, I knew what they meant. ;)

Light output is decent for the size of the head. The stand is course light weight so don't be too rough with it, but seems to be sturdy enough. You will of course need a power source (USB-A) as there is just a cord (with switch) leading up to the head. In my testing it draws 1.6 Amps (@5.1V) so make sure it's a fairly large pack if you want a lot of run time! Good deal for the money.

DrFiero Addendum to review: IF your phones case has metal in it? REMOVE THE CASE! I nearly set my house on fire, when the metal \"kick stand\" of my case turned into an induction heater and proceeded to melt it down. No fault of the charger! Any inductive one would do it.

Seems to work well. Sure beats finding a resistor as a load! Slightly confusing interface, but not bad.

While it takes a bit to get used to the idea of not setting a mode (dc volts, ac volts, ohms etc) it seems to work quite well. Just a bit slow to respond. Having a dual display is great!

DrFiero It says right in the description- 2.5cm or about 1” inside diameter. That’d be some big RC truck!

Seems to do what it's designed to do! Remember to stick the cover of your radio, and the tiny screw in a zip-lock bag or something and store it safely away after you decide to take this off.

The base of the antenna (around the threads) is too fat/wide and won't allow you to thread onto the radio - at least in the case of my Baofeng UV-9R. Had to take a razor knife and carefully shave it away until it fit. Annoying.
