This is NOT a Samsung display. The original S7 display is AMOLED. This display is backlit LCD. It fits, and it works. I find the lowest brightness setting to be a bit too bright at night in the car. I had to bump the resolution from 1080 up to 1440 to avoid weird font effects that the original screen didn't have - it's not a big deal though as everything resizes appropriately. The screen doesn't have quite as large a curve radius at the edges so a glass screen protector actually fits better than on the original screen. I DID have a problem with random or 'ghost' touches constantly pressing the screen without any actual touching. I'm not sure if this is a result of the not-so-sticky adhesive that came on the display which promptly let go, or some actual product defect (I'd suggest adding good quality adhesive during assembly). In any case BangGood refunded the full purchase amount without any argument. If you're just trying to get your phone going after a busted screen and don't care about super-saturated blacks then this screen should be fine. It's the least expensive compatible screen I could find anywhere by a wide margin. I'm satisfied overall

bgnewus I wiped it off easily with a bit of isopropyl alcohol on a cotton swab.
