The web page says "10W" but the little booklet that comes with the radio says "4W"! The web page also states "(We will send you the suitable adapter according to your location)" but although an adapter is pictured with a US plug I received one with a Euro plug which I cannot use. No adapter was provided. The web page also shows two antenas that are distinctly different in size, yet I received two antennas that are both the same overall size.

Q: How does the outside unit deal with snow?

JeffKnickelbein it does not measure snow, but it specified to work down to -40 degrees Celsius. I guess freezing rain is worse, which would freeze the mechanics up of the anemometer and wind direction vane.

Q: Is this unit actually rated at 10W?

BarryNY No. I have measured the output into a 50 ohm dummy load as 5 watts on both VHF and UHF bands. It is being misrepresented as a 10 watt radio when in fact it is not.
