Pro: the model is very nicely made and scale realistic, with wonderful little details that will make it look very nice displayed on a shelf. Apart from the very good look and scale realism, there is nothing outstanding in this toy car.
Con: This is a rather cheap toy grade RC car. Most of it is made out of brittle plastic and looks very flimsy. Also, right out of the box the speed change is not working .My experience owning several hobby grade RC off-road trucks tells me that this one would never survive a session of the trail outside of the house. The plastic is so brittle that most detailing would be torn out very easily if going too close of any bush, stone or clump of earth. The plastics part underside would easily be torn off by any twigs getting stuck into the drive train or the leaf-springs of the suspension. Worse is the electronic that is absolutely neither water-proof, nor dust proof. Drive in wet grass or pools of water/mud, and the receiver/ESC will fry-off, as will the servos that are also not waterproof. Driving in the dust will clog and wear their unprotected plastic gears very quickly. No need to describe what would happen if the servos electronics would get soaked into water or dew. The size of the lipo battery is also very disappointing. Only 380 mAh with a discharge rate of only 5C ! this is a very feeble and puny battery that will have an autonomy of a few minutes at the most.
An other drawback is the fact that this car uses the ANT wireless protocol. It would be incompatible with most if not all of the transmitters on the market. You'll be stuck with using the cheap transmitter provided with the car.
Conclusion: this only for indoor use, and its autonomy and brittleness will make it a shelf-queen: It is only a display piece that you can make run in circle on the carpet for a few minutes.
Besides, there is no room for improvement: there is not enough space to replace cheap components with quality hobby-grade servos, ESC or receiver.

knokke Theyalso sent me the wrong scale product and refused to aknowledge the mistake, even after I sent photographic proof. As I kept insisting, they finally pretended to reimburse me, but it was a lie. They never gave me my money back and never sent the correct 1/12 scale product.

knokke Theydid the same to me, and refused to aknowledge their mistake, keeping asking for "more proof" untill the 7 days warranty period expires. In the end, the customer service pretended to reimburse me, but the only thing they did was providing me with a false url toward a webpage that does'nt work. I never got the correct product, and never received the reimburment they promised.

knokke besides, the advertisment that it is receiving signal information from the receiver is copied directly from the benedini website despription of the product. The truth is that it receives the acceleration information from the ESC, not the receiver. Therefore I've experienced that it does'nt work properly with a brushless sensored system: most brushless sensored systems ESC have a minimum of 10% neutral band forward or backward for the throttle, which means that if using the sound unit for low speed crawling, it will keep playing idle engine sound without variation most of the time. You'll only hear the engine starting to accelerate a greater speed, which is not the conditions you'll be using your crawler most of the time.

knokke Telling to buy an other receiver is not going to help. If this receiver is advertised as weighting only 2.9 g , it should not weight 4 g. So what is the real weight of this receiver when delivered ? 2.9 g or 4g as the customer is complaining ?

knokke It is not possible to remote control the running lights (main upper lights). They light up when the car moves forward if they're plugged in J2 . If plugged instead in J7 with the jumper 3 set in off position, they will stay lighted all the time. I don't know what davew is talking about. You can't plug anything in the receiver's third channel as the two Y cable should be plugged into the Channel 1 and 2 of the receiver. The only way to have the running lights turned on and off remotely would be to replace them by a set of light with a resistor and plugging them in a RC switch into the third channel (or any other if more channels are available) of the receiver. You can't plug the lights of the kit into the receiver directly, as they would probably fry as they don't have a resistor to withstand the 5v or 6v supplied by the ESC through the receiver.

knokke don't listen to the bullshit told by BG172915434, he doesn't know what he's talking about. White led comes in two sizes: the two lower front lights are 3mm diameter, while the two upper (main) front light are 5mm in diameter. Yellow turn indicator led are 3mm in diameter. The two red led for rear brake lights are 3mm in diameter. The two reversing white lights led are 5 mm in diameter.

knokke it can be used with other vehicles than the rochobby 1-6 1941 Scaler. It is the same product as hobbywing quicrun 1060 60A brushed ESC
