Q: is it possible to buy just the plane? mine flew away!

Laurie Yes, they are selling a version now called "BNF" (bind and fly) that doesn't have the transmitter and is a little cheaper because of that. You can fly it with any of the multi protocol radios.

Laurie Looking at posts on rcgroups.com, it seems that the 220 receiver is not a Spektrum protocol, as the original Dancing Wings Ice Cream one was, but rather E-FHSS protocol, and only supported by the proprietary radio offered here.

Q: What mode is it on?

尋ねた Bob.Ward. に 2023-11-27 22:01:37

Laurie It is mode 2, but since it is only two channel, even a mode 1 flyer like myself can fly it easily. Also, if you have a multi protocol radio, the protocol is supported, so now I fly mine in mode 1 with my transmitter. It is a much better experience flying it with a multi protocol radio, but it is quite acceptable with the supplied transmitter.

Laurie I do not have this helicopter, but there is a link to the manual on the product page above. On the page of the manual titled Introduction to Transmitter Function it says there is a button on the transmitter which will change the mode if you press it when powering up the transmitter. I do have the Eachine E129, and that is exactly the way the mode change works on that one. So whether you order the Mode 1 or the Mode 2 version, you can always switch to the other mode. The only difference between them is which mode is activated by default when you power up.

Laurie On peut régler le pas en trois étapes, mais il n'y a pas d'expo. Yes, you can adjust the rates in 3 steps, but there is no expo.

Laurie Also Andrew Newton has done a Youtube review of it that shows what is inside, and shows it flying.
