I received my IPRee 40x60 Monocular several months ago and use it a lot. The eye lens measures around 18mm and the objective lens measures around 40mm. The actual magnification is around 8x. The large knob on top is the coarse focus which is easy to use. The lens near the eye is the fine focus and does a nice job making the image sharp. There is also a plastic eye cap that twist in and out to give eye relief. The quality of the view is not too bad. You can focus sharp in the center, but the further out towards the edges will not be as sharp. There is a decent brass tripod mount if you need a super steady image. The Monocular has a quality look and rubbery feel to it. It weighs around 10 oz and fits in the hand nicely. While holding it with one hand, you can adjust the focus with your index finger. The coarse focus knob is so smooth and accurate, it may be the only focus you use. It's a pretty good monocular for what it cost. My only complaint is I wish it was labeled correctly as a 8x40 instead of the crazy 40x60.

For the price, this is a great little monocular. The optics aren't top notch but they work well enough, and the focusing and other controls are butter-smooth and work well. The objective and eyepiece both have coatings to help with light transmission and reflections. The inside has a small baffle, most likely to reduce vignetting. Despite what the product listing says, this is NOT a night-vision scope. There are no batteries, no infrared, no image intensifier, no CCDs. You can certainly use it at night, but it is NOT a night-vision scope. It also smells to high heaven out of the box - a very chemical, rubbery smell. I've been airing it out for a few days and that's helping a lot. It's a good size for one-handed use, and if you use the attached lanyard to hold the eyepiece cap, you won't be able to lose any lens caps or other parts in the dark. It also comes with a serviceable nylon belt pouch and a cleaning cloth.
