When I saw these I thought that they were a good idea. I had taken some ordinary heated grips off of one of my off road bikes because I found that the switch gear took up quite a bit of the grip length and when I had been working the bike hard I finished up with blisters on the outside of my thumbs from chafing on the bevel. These overcome that problem. The two problems I did face was sliding on the grips, Q20 just doesn't quite do it, I used a smear of Lithium grease, and routing the cable out of the twist grip. I ground a channel in the grip and finished it with a small zip tie. See pictures.
