This device will alert you to the presence of other signals in the 2.4 G range used by many drones for flight control. These can sometimes cause interference with the signals from the flight control transmitter. Since most drones can have the control frequencies reconfigured, if there is lots of activity on the upper part of this spectrum, you can change the control channels to a different portion of the spectrum that is less crowded. The device comes with a pigtail that plugs into the JST connector which you can solder to your power. I chose a 9 volt battery and added a On-Off switch to a case I made from discarded covers from Radio Shack project boxes. I used the case the Lantian came in to hold it. The scratch in that case is a little distracting, but it still makes a great holder for the spectrograph. Nothing else except the power needs to be added for this to work and produce the signals it can see. I made a short video and posted it on Vimeo at this link: https://vimeo.com/265605420 Will try to post it here so it embeds, but I don't use Youtube so not sure I can do that.
A quick peek is all it takes to find out if you are in an area with a lot of signal noise. I 3d printed a tiny case with momentary switch and battery holder as it is cumbersome to use the way it arrives.
Usefull item. Only there is no 5ghz version of it.
No adjustments just apply power and go No mounting holes Only way to mount would be with some sticky tape. Be careful of fragile ribbon cable on front List frequency along axis would be nice if there were actual channel numbers. Not very sensitive. Midrange reading only when touching controller
quite too small it lacks a more precise display of frequencies but is usefull
