I bought this sensor for rs 651 as it was cheap as compared to amazon or ebay. The sensor worked fine and the ecg reading was also good. I got help from the sparkfun website this sensor does not require any external library for its working only simple arduino serial communication code and some code to extract the information from arduino with processing language. Setup is easy, just follow these instructions. https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/ad8232-heart-rate-monitor-hookup-guide I added used Blynk(https://www.blynk.cc) app to wirelessly view data on an old Samsung Gallaxy 4 tablet.

The device is working. Test raw data looks good. The electrodes are badly held on the body. I hope the device will be useful for my research.

did not work the way the websites said it should. I never got something to see the stages of the heartbeat. I did get it to work well enough to see my pulse, but that is not what I was wanting to use it for.
