It's fine for illuminating coins, but I don't think the brightness is enough for catching scorpions. The frosted stainless steel pressure ring and button are much more comfortable than the previous ones. It's a bit of a pity that there's no RGB light at the end, probably considering the battery life. If used for short-term lighting and playing, I highly recommend it.
