Very good converter! If you need both voltage level, there the open hole can be used - better to solder some pins for such usage.

It's very usefull. with it we can program our arduino minis but other RC components too, like OSD, u-blox GPS... Great for the price

I used it to load the nodeMcu firmware onto an esp8266 ESP-01. Linux picked it up straight away, and worked perfectly. A word of caution though: it has a 5.0v - 3.3v switch. Make sure you select the correct voltage for the hardware. Also note that though the converter can power the ESP during flashing, it's not really powerful enough to pull it during operation with the WiFi turned on, so it would be a good idea to invest in a secondary power source like this: http://www.banggood.com/LM2596-DC-DC-Verstellbar-Step-Down-Schaltregler-Power-Supply-Module-p-88252.html
