Despite the description noting this is a 'Variable Frequency PWM based speed controller is is NOT. But rather it is a simple SCR based one that always O/P's the 50Hz (in our case) mains frequency. This means it is unsuitable to use with the vast majority of squirrel cage induction motors (Shaded pole types excepted). It is only useful for universal motors (i.e. with brushes). Dam that's a pain as I needed to control a single phase induction type speed.
