Greetings. This is a short review of the 808 #16 V2 "D" lens. I confirmed with Chuck Lohrs' data to be certain it was a V2, and a "Genuine" 808 #16. I received the 808 about 13 days after shipping. It came in an envelope, wrapped up well in foam. I was happy to see that although the envelope was molested, the contents were unharmed in any way. The included accessories make using the 808 a breeze to use. One of the most convenient features is the replaceable battery. That's right, no need to throw the cam out when the battery quits working. They used a nice little connector so no need to solder in a new battery when the time comes. I was impressed by the weight and feel of the cam. The buttons have a nice feel and the LED is easy to see. I was also happy that the 808 came with a lens cap to protect it when transporting or not in use. The 3 cables that come with the 808 allow you to use it in many ways: 1. using the USB cable the 808 can be used as a webcam. 2. You can use the Mini USB to RCA for displaying the raw video to your Television. 3. A Video out cable for use with FPV(no sound) There is also included in the package a Keychain ring and Velcro-type adhesive strips. I planned to use this cam for my V222 so the first thing I did was to remove the outer case. This remove almost 15 grams of weight. The 808 i received weighed in at 38 grams. I did some minor modifications to attach it to the V222, and used the 808s' software to rotate the video 180 degrees so that I could still have access to the buttons. I find that the 808#16 v2 "D" lens takes very, very good video. For this price point, you'd expect some flaws to be very apparent, but there are none. The pictures it takes are of very high quality and was quite surprised at it's low light capabilities. The one thing I should mention is the sound, it's pretty darned good! I have yet to try and speak to the 808 while it's flying/filming but I bet it would. After several test flights I am happy to say that my flight times with the 808 attached are reasonable at 6-7 minutes. Although some might find the "D" lens "Fisheye" effect to be distracting, I happen to enjoy it. Without a doubt this cam is well worth it's asking price. I will also go as far to say that I am very pleased that Banggood has the Genuine article, and not a clone like so many other sellers. I expect to get a great deal of use from this unit. I would highly recommend the 808 #16 V2 "D"lens to anyone with FPV/Aerial Photography aspirations to get one right now.
